"The Choice" just won the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award for short fiction!
It just so happens that this is one the stories in The Year's Top Ten Tales of Science Fiction 4.
"The Choice" is a story set in the author's Jackaroo sequence.
Jackaroo stories are always lots of fun.
Other Jackaroo stories can be found in earlier volumes of The Year's Top Ten Tales of Science Fiction: "The City of the Dead" in volume 1 and "Crimes and Glory" in volume 2.
Congratuations go out to the author, Paul McAuley. Well done!!
